Being a strictly independent senior community we do not have the overwhelming paperwork required by higher care communities and gives you more freedom to be creative.
Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community is now accepting applications for a Full Time Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Applicants need to be available to work M-F 8am to 4:30pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Activity Department, its programs, and activities.
2. Assess the activity needs of each resident.
3. Coordinate and transport residents to area events and outings.
4. Plan, coordinate & implement monthly programs & events.
5. Communicate planned events with a monthly calendar, outing and movie lists, and daily announcements.
6. Involve residents in activity planning with monthly planning meetings.
7. Responsible, and accountable for supervising all activity functions.
8. Assist in developing and maintaining the written Activity policies and procedures.
9. Prepare necessary reports, budgets, forecasts, ect. As needed and/or directed.
10. Participate in various committees of the facility as directed or necessary.
11. Provide written and oral reports as required and/or directed.
12. Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees.
13. Assist with medical van runs.
14. Coordinate a Volunteer Services Program.
15. Compile information for quarterly newsletter.
16. Conduct auctions for Resident Association.
17. Attend in-service education classes.
Qualifications
1. Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
2. Must have the ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Activity Department.
3. Must posses the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into the activity practices.
4. Must be able to develop, read, and interpret cost reports, financial data, etc.
5. Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
6. Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License and follow the rules of the road set by the Oregon Department of Transportation.
7. Must be insurable on Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community insurance policy.
8. Must be able to communicate with all other facility personnel.

This is a full time position. We offer competitive wages and benefits, including medical insurance, dental insurance and 401k. Vacation time available after one year of full time employment and sick time after 90 days employment.
