Sybil's Omelettes Unlimited hosts a special ''Pay-It-Forward'' memorial event
Sybil's Omelettes Unlimited hosts a special "Pay-It-Forward" memorial event honoring founder Dr. Wolfram Gottschalk
Salem, OR -- Sybil's Omelettes Unlimited welcomed the community to a heartfelt celebration of remembrance, gratitude, and generosity on Tuesday, November 26, honoring its beloved founder, Dr. Wolfram Gottschalk. This annual tradition, known as "Pay-It-Forward," reflects Dr. Gottschalk's enduring legacy of kindness, family, and community spirit.
Guests dinning at Sybil's on this special day received a card from the restaurant that embodies the spirit of Thanksgiving and gratitude. The front of the card reads:
"Happy Thanksgiving! Dr. Wolfram Gottschalk founded Sybil's in 1982 with the idea that there should be a place where people could gather as a family where there is 'Something for Everyone!' Upon his passing on November 27, 2011, I wanted to start a tradition whereby his generosity towards others would be remembered. In honor of him and his spirit, I want to treat you to a FREE MEAL today!
Thank you for visiting Sybil's Omelettes Unlimited today where you 'Enter as a stranger and leave as a friend!'
Sincerely, Dorothee Gottschalk, Owner"
The back of the card encourages diners to pay the generosity forward in two meaningful ways:

The back of the card encourages diners to pay the generosity forward in two meaningful ways:
- Tip Generously: Guests are reminded to show appreciation to the hardworking staff by tipping based on the original bill amount.
- Support the Community: Instead of paying for their meal, guests are invited to donate to the Marion Polk Food Share. To amplify the impact, Sybil's will match every dollar donated during the event, doubling the support to help local families in this holiday season. Customers gave $430 during the food drive over the past few weeks, and $779 today for a total of $1,209. Sybil's will be matching this total to make a gift of $2,418 to Marion Polk Food Share!
