Westminster Festival of Fine Art
The Westminster Festival of Fine Arts celebrates 29 years. Fifty juried artists will show their creative works during the Thursday-Saturday event, October 6-8th. The public will see a variety of artwork, from pine needle baskets to digital photography, metalwork to blown glass, jewelry to porcelain, watercolor to mixed media, and more.
This year's featured artist is Caren Ann Jackson, a fine art and portrait photographer. At home in Salem, Oregon, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Caren specializes in natural light photography. Through the lens of her digital camera, she captures moments in time, be it flowers, people or landscapes. She markets her digital photographs on full sized canvasses as well as note cards and trivets.
Our guest speaker at the Breakfast with the Arts on Saturday, October 8th, will be Bob Reinhardt. He is the Executive Director of the Willamette Heritage Center. Breakfast tickets are $7.00 at the door or by calling the church office at 503-364-3327. Otherwise, all events and parking are free.
