Volcanoes vs. Tri-City
The Volcanoes continue their homestand with the Tri-City Dust Devils, and it is Oregon State Employees Night where we are going to recognize the wonderful people who work extremely hard to make Oregon the best state in the USA. It is also Kid?s FREE Youth Baseball Clinic Day sponsored by Pacific Office Automation. All kids, with a ticket to this game, will be invited to a free baseball clinic with the Volcanoes players on-the-field prior to the game from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. It will also be a Salute to the Portland Beavers Night. The evening is dedicated to recognizing the meaningful impact the Portland Beavers have had on the area. The Beavers were the big story in Portland for nearly 7 decades. They played in much revered Vaughn Street Park through the 1955 season and moved to Multnomah Stadium in 1956. The 1956 day-night opener in the Stadium drew nearly 34,000 fans. The team won their final game at PGE Park in front of a sellout crowd of just under 16,000 supporters. Also, since it is a Sunday, it is Senior Sunday sponsored by Avamere Court at Keizer, and Senior $1 Meal Deal where seniors may get a Hamburger AND Soda for just $1 or a Hotdog AND Soda for just $1. Also, after the game, kids get to Run the Bases courtesy of McDonalds of Salem-Keizer. Game Time is 5:05; Gates Open at 4:00.
