Volcanoes vs. Everett & TOMMY JOHN NIGHT!
The Volcanoes open a five-game homestand against the Everett AquaSox, affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. And, it is a very special night as we welcome one of the greatest left-handed pitchers in baseball history, 4-time All-Star, Tommy John. Tommy debuted with the Cleveland Indians in 1963, and went on to play for 26 years with the White Sox, Dodgers, two stints with the Yankees, Angels and Oakland Athletics. In 1974, facing a career-ending injury, Tommy underwent revolutionary surgery on his pitching arm what is now commonly referred to as “Tommy John Surgery”. He made a great recovery, and pitched for another 15 years until retiring in 1989. In 1976, he did so well, he was named the National League Comeback Player of the Year. You do not want to miss meeting, and getting a FREE autograph from Major League All-Star, Tommy John. And it is Civil War Night. If you are a Duck or a Beaver, be sure to wear your colors, and join us with some Friendly, Good-Natured Civil War Rivalry during the game.
It is also our sixth of 7 $1.00 Thursday Nights where selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium’s Lava Lodge Sports Pub. Game Time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30.
