Virtual Run for Recovery
Bridgeway Recovery Services’ Run for Recovery has always been about community. It’s been about gathering together to raise awareness about recovery from addiction and mental illness, reducing stigma, and sharing in the joy of people’s recovery successes. This year, although we can’t gather as a community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 7th annual Run for Recovery is more about community than it ever has been. At a time when the pandemic has pushed us all six feet apart, we are getting creative in how we connect with each other. That’s why our 7th annual Run for Recovery is going virtual! From September 1st, 2020—September 15th, 2020, we are inviting people from our community, state, and country to join our Virtual Run for Recovery 5K. How does it work? A virtual race can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on a trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on a track. We will provide a 5K, 10K, and 1 mile route for you at the Riverfront Park in Salem, or you may choose to run a completely different route. Run or walk by yourself or with friends—from a safe distance, of course! Thanks for running for recovery!
