These scenic courses pass through Keizer Station before entering gentle rolling hills of spacious farmland, made up of filbert orchards, hops and flower fields. You’ll catch your breath along the 200 acres of nationally awarded IRIS fields in bloom. The end will be in sight as the course heads gradually downhill, past the home of the Salem/Keizer Volcanoes Stadium and a sprint to the finish line!

KIDZ3k & 5k- 5/18/13 (Saturday) Before Iris Festival Parade on River Rd. in Keizer
CLOSED COURSE ON RIVER RD.
Check-In Time Starts; 7am
Race Start Time; 9:30am (Iris Run 5k)
9:40am (KIDZ 3k)

10k & Half-Marathon 5/19/13 (Sunday)
Check-In Time Starts; 6:30am
Race Start Time; 8am (Half-Marathon)
8:10am (10k)

I’M NOT SURE I CAN RUN THE ENTIRE DISTANCE IN THE EVENT I ENTERED. CAN I SLOW DOWN OR WALK, IF NECESSARY?
Yes. Running and walking to complete a distance is OK. In fact, mixing walking with running is a great way to improve your conditioning. Many Iris Run participants walk portions of the routes.

But, if you want to walk an entire distance, then you must enter the 5k Iris Run or 10k. Walking the entire distance in the Half-Marathon is not permitted.

There is also a time limit in the 10k and Half Marathon. You must maintain a pace of at least 16 minutes per mile.

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY BIB NUMBER, T-SHIRT AND TIMING CHIP?
You may collect all this at the Bib Packet Pick Up area at the Keizer Chamber of Commerce, 3 Days before your race
KIDZ 3k & 5k; 5/15/13 from 10am-7pm
10k & Half-Marathon; 5/16/13 10am-7pm
Unclaimed packets can still be picked up on "Day of Race" at the Start/Check-in area

CAN I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY BIB NUMBER, T-SHIRT AND TIMING CHIP FOR ME?
Yes. Whoever you designate to pick up your packet must do so at the Bib Packet Pick Up area at the Keizer Chamber of Commerce at the dates above.

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES ON THE COURSE OF THE IRIS RUN?
Yes. But, please stay alert. Although the streets are closed (Only full closure for KIDZ 3k and Iris Run 5k) to vehicle traffic, sometimes emergency vehicles must get on or across the routes.

CAN I RUN WITH A BABY JOGGER OR STROLLER?
Running with a baby jogger or a stroller at Shamrock is ONLY permitted in the KIDZ 3k and Iris Run 5k. Joggers and Strollers are NOT allowed during the 10k and Half-Marathon

CAN I RUN OR WALK WITH MY DOG AT THE IRIS RUNS?
Dogs are NOT Allowed in any of the runs
