J.L. Wilson is the principal of Public Affairs Counsel, a Salem-based public affairs firm and a leading provider of government affairs, lobbying and survey research services for 37 years.
Prior to joining Public Affairs Counsel in 2014, Wilson had a 15-year history in association management and lobbying in Oregon. Before starting his career as an association manager and lobbyist, he served as Legislative Director for two Speakers of the Oregon House.
Today, J.L.'s clients include many of Oregon's key industries including the Oregon Metals Industry Council and the Northwest Food Processors Association. He also represents major employers such as The Boeing Company, Allstate Insurance, Anheuser Busch and Daimler Trucks.
J.L. is proud to represent leading social service providers including Head Start, the Housing Alliance, and the Oregon Independent Mental Health Professionals.
In addition to lobbying and government affairs, his company is also the leading provider of survey research and polling services for school districts and local governments across Oregon.
On a personal note, J.L. and his wife Heather reside in West Salem with their five children.
