FOOD FOR THOUGHT Empty Plate Line
What are you doing September 5th at 5:15 p.m.?
Well over half (60.4%) of the children enrolled in our Salem-Keizer schools were eligible for free or reduced price lunch at school last year. Sometimes it was their only meal of the day.
Please join Women Ending Hunger and Marion-Polk Food Share for the third annual FOOD FOR THOUGHT Line of Empty Plates from the Capitol to the Willamette to focus our community's attention on the fact that 39,000 hungry kids in Marion and Polk counties are 39,000 too many!
Wear your brightest red, gather up your friends, families, and co-workers and join us with an empty dinner plate in hand as we take a stand against local hunger.
