Not Your Normal Obstacle Race...

The Epic Grind is a fun obstacle run done a little differently than those big corporate-run nationwide races. We're a smaller, local, family organized, community-based event. No matter who you are, you will find the course fun, challenging, and creative. With 5K, 10K, and Kids Run options, there's something for everyone.

A beautiful course in the Oregon countryside. The race takes you on an amazing trail run through forests and fields and along the water's edge of Henry Hagg Lake near Gaston, OR. As you're climbing up and over, crawling through and under, jumping and pushing, dragging, bending, and balancing, you'll get a bit wet and dirty, and have a blast doing it!

Our obstacles are second to none. Designed and built to reuse materials, they can be reconstructed many times. No permanent holes or huge impact on the environment. These obstacles create their own challenges, using skill, strength, and grit. Of course there's also the mental aspect; with decision making obstacles right alongside the fun and rigorous ones.

We support our community. The race isn't just about completing a challenge, it's also about giving back. This year, the Epic Grind will benefit Medical K9 Heroes, an organization supporting children who struggle with Type 1 Diabetes, using the help of a diabetic alert dog. These incredible dogs are trained to sense falling and rising blood sugar, giving kids and caregivers comfort and ability to manage their health.
