AOI Policy Forum & Legislative Reception

AOI’s Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker and Policy Forum will take place on Thursday, November 7, at the Hilton Portland in downtown Portland.

A Legislative Reception, hosted by AOI and 14 of Oregon’s leading business associations, will conclude the day.

The theme of this year’s event, “Oregon Manufacturing: Solving Problems and Growing Oregon’s Economy,” will tell the story of how Oregon manufacturers are solving major problems with their products, while growing Oregon’s economy, jobs and incomes in the process.

It will profile how Oregon’s manufacturers are solving big problems, as well as help identify some “policy gaps” that, if addressed, could help Oregon be the best location in the world to create the products and technologies that will solve our most complex problems.

The day’s agenda will look like this:

11:30 a.m. Lunch and Keynote Speaker John Kitzhaber M.D., Governor of Oregon

1:30 p.m. AOI Policy Forum

1:30 – 2:15 p.m. “Oregon Manufacturing: Solving Problems and Growing Oregon’s Economy”

2:20 – 3:05 p.m. “Solving the Workforce Problem”

3:15 – 4:00 p.m. “Tax Policy – Breaking Down Barriers for Competitiveness”

4:05 – 4:50 p.m. “Delivering Oregon Products to the Global Marketplace”

5:00 p.m. Legislative Reception
*Oregon Ducks vs. Stanford Cardinals football game will be televised live on several screens throughout the ballroom.
