2012 Volcanoes Baseball Game
Sunday, July 29th – The Volcanoes conclude their three-game homestand with the Eugene Emeralds, and it is the last time the Emeralds will be at Volcanoes Stadium during the regular season. It is Kid’s FREE Youth Baseball Clinic Day sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods. All kids, with a ticket to this game, will be invited to a free baseball clinic with the Volcanoes players on-the-field prior to the game from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. It will also be a Salute to the Portland Beavers Night. The evening is dedicated to recognizing the meaningful impact the Portland Beavers have had on the area. The Beavers were the big story in Portland for nearly 7 decades. They played in much revered Vaughn Street Park through the 1955 season and moved to Multnomah Stadium in 1956. The 1956 day-night opener in the Stadium drew nearly 34,000 fans. Last September the team won their final game at PGE Park in front of a sellout crowd of just under 16,000 supporters. Also, since it is a Sunday, it is Senior $1 Meal Deal where seniors may get a Hamburger AND soda for just $1 or a Hotdog AND soda for just $1. Game time is 5:05; Gates Open at 4:00.
REMEMBER: If you purchase in advance of game day, you SAVE $1.00 per ticket.
