A Soggy Day in the Park
This year the Claggett Creek Watershed Council will be able to host our annual Soggy Day in the Park event. This event is a free event to the community to come and play, experience the park, play in a backhoe, take jet boat rides to the rapids, use the bounce house and for the first time, get some delicious tacos from Sanchos Tacos.
We are partnering with the City of Keizer environmental group as well as Willamette River Keepers for a full day event.
The morning will have a service project, by the Willamette River Keepers and the afternoon will be our event.
In years past we have seen as many as 250 people come through out event.
With the joint service project, I expect as many if not more.
I am hoping the Chamber and Chamber members would be interested in coming to the event, but also we are looking to secure $2,000 in sponsorships.
While the event is free to the public, it costs for the bounce house and we are hoping to provide some food cost money for the Taco Truck.
This is great exposure for business, we've had booths from partners before and with the volume of people we expect this year, it could be a great opportunity for people to inform the community about their business. Sadly, we cannot have any sales due to our permit, but, promotional items, like let's say upcoming concerts or even the Keizer Fest at Keizer Rapids would be very welcome. We look forward to expanding our sponsor section.
Thank you for your time and consideration and all of the great work our chamber does to make Keizer an amazing place to live.
