Meet the Author: Christel Jonge Vos/Scenes from a Life: WWII
You’re invited to join us for an entertaining and informative presentation, Scenes from a Life: WWII, by Keizer author and musician, Christel Jonge Vos, as she shares readings of her poems and stories, followed by Q & A, and book signing with books available for purchase. Author Bio: Christel Jonge Vos was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, where she experienced WWII, the Berlin Air Lift and the Wall first-hand. She holds a Master of Music degree, earned from Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Oregon; she’s played in numerous concerts in the Portland area and has authored 4 books, with a 5th one on the way. In 1981 Christel founded The German Language Center, offering individually designed German language instruction and translation to companies conducting business in Germany. She’s also taught total-immersion German to graduate students at Portland State University, Lewis & Clark College, and at the University of Albuquerque. Christel lives in Keizer where she is now semi-retired, enjoys going to the gym, teaching German, and writing.
