About Us

Michelle Ashley began baking and creating beautiful custom cakes in June 2015 after a long career in the tech industry. Her creativity and budding talent lead her to explore cake decorating and after completing a few classes she was on her way to a sweet new career. With just a couple of classes under her belt Fred Meyer gave her a chance and offered Michelle her first cake decorating job. Her skills quickly grew from rookie to professional artist and only 6 months later she left to start her own business.

After two years of running her new business out of her licensed home kitchen Michelle opened her first storefront bakery in September 2018 in the 45th Parallel Shopping Center on Hyacinth Street in NE Salem to much success. Michelle’s unique designs and talent have won her both gold and silver in the Statesman Journal’s Best of the Mid-Valley poll in 2018 and 2019! In 2020 Michelle won gold for Best Cupcake and Best Bakery in Best of the Willamette Valley and won first place for Best Wedding Cakes in Willamette Living Magazine’s Best of the Valley poll!

In August 2020 Michelle moved her bakery to a storefront space at the 45th Parallel Building. Visit us now in Suite 101!
