Marion-Polk Food Share is once again coordinating the Spring Break Community Lunch Program. This year’s program encompasses 45 sites in Marion and Polk counties that expect to serve about 9,000 meals and hand out thousands of books for children to take home. Last year 8040 meals were served.
From noon to 1 p.m., March 23-27, 10 sites in Polk County and 35 sites in Marion County will offer a nutritious lunch for free. No registration is required. Spring Break Community Lunch distribution sites will be at area schools, churches, Boys & Girls clubs, apartment complexes, Jefferson Library and Town & Country Bowling Lanes.
The lunch program will take place at sites in Salem, Keizer, Silverton, Scotts Mills, Mt. Angel, Aumsville, Jefferson, Stayton, Hubbard, Brooks, Woodburn, Gervais, Dallas, Falls City and Independence
