The community is invited to attend The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center’s Family Fair on Saturday, September 26. The free, family-focused event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center (1865 Bill Frey Drive NE).
Scheduled activities this year include multiple bounce houses, face painting, woodworking crafts (donated by Lowe’s), games, raffles and spin-art. There will also be visits by RJ Kroc, McGruff the Crime Dog and the Salem Fire Department plus dance, martial arts and musical performances. The Kroc Community Center is opening its doors to fair attendees by offering FREE admission to the center during event hours. Food will be available for purchase. Organizers expect more than 2,000 local residents to attend.
Funds raised from vendor booths and community partnerships such as GNC, Valley Insurance Professionals and Windsong Memory Care at Eola Hills support the Kroc Community Center’s scholarship fund. The fund currently provides assistance to over 1,700 adults & children and makes access to the Kroc Community Center more affordable.
