The Commemorative Air force will be bringing its flying B-17 "Sentimental Journey" and flying B-25 "Maid in the Shade" WWII bombers to the Salem Airport for seven days in August. The even is open to the public and a $15.00 entrance fee allows you to see and photograph both aircraft, go inside and through each aircraft, talk to the pilots and other crew members, and tour the B-17 Alliance Foundation Museum and Restoration Hangar which currently houses the B-17 that used to be the famous "Gas Station Bomber" in Milwaukie, Oregon, as she undergoes restoration to flying condition. There will be various vendors and sponsors on-site and activities scheduled throughout the week. Hours from 9:00 to 5:00 each day.
