"A Crooner of the highest caliber."
– Atomic Magazine
Casey MacGill is a modern-day swing and boogie master. Alternatively playing stride piano, cornet and a six-string ukulele, MacGill’s trio is rounded out by the soulful three-part harmony supplied by his bassist and drummer. Previous projects include, the Los Angeles-based trio “Mood Indigo” (movie appearances in “Swing Shift” and “Frances”) and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical “Swing” (cast member, songwriter) in which he was reviewed as having “the kind of shrugged-off charm one associates with being cool in the swing era” (New York Times). His audio recordings continue to generate worldwide acclaim and propel his touring opportunities. The current tour features a program entitled “Classic American Music,” which MacGill describes as “Nat King Cole Trio meets the Mills Brothers; Fats Waller meets Fats Domino; Slim Galliard meets Fred Astaire.”

The Canby Community Concert Association (“CCCA”) has presented an annual concert series since 1993. Inspired by the construction of the new Canby Auditorium, Jim Farmer, the current president of the CCCA, gathered a group of likeminded individuals to cultivate an interest in the performing arts in Canby. This all-volunteer nonprofit organization is committed to providing performances by acclaimed touring talent at affordable, family-friendly prices.
