DESCRIPTION:Silverton Health\, an independent health system\, has completed its transformation of the 90\,000 square-feet Woodburn Health Center (WHC) into a comprehensive care-focused facility. The multi-faceted center not only brings convenient access to patients in the east Willamette Valley\, it is also ahead of healthcare reform mandates requiring better. The $1.8 million construction project brings many of Silverton Health's Woodburn services under one roof. Woodburn Family Medicine and Woodburn Internal Medicine\, formerly located on Ray J Glatt Circle\, have joined Woodburn Immediate Care\, Woodburn Specialist Center\, and rehabilitation services at WHC. This allows physicians in any of these medical groups to immediately consult with each other when necessary. Other services located at WHC include Woodburn Surgical Center\, intensive cardiac rehabilitation\, a fitness center and Business Health Services which offers an array of health and wellness programs to area employers. Silverton Hospital will continue to be the main location for inpatient services including illnesses requiring hospitalization\, surgery and birthing. Inside WHC\, a large registration area makes it easier and faster for patients to sign in for their medical appointments. To show how the building's design better accommodates patients\, Woodburn Health Center is hosting an open house from 4 to 7 p.m.\, Thursday\, April 4.
