DESCRIPTION:The Salem City Club invites you to join us on Friday\, May 5\, 2017\, at the Willamette Heritage Center for Child Welfare: Global to Local. Lena Alhusseini\, Oregon's new Child Welfare Director\, will address concerns of Oregon's Child Welfare system and explain what Oregon is doing to improve outcomes for vulnerable children. Alhusseini brings a global view perspective on child safety services\, having previously served with global organizations such as USAID\, UNICEF and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. As Oregon's Child Welfare Director\, her vision is to help build a family support center model that connects vulnerable families with their community and the local services they need to keep their children safe and at home.
