Start your morning networking with fellow Chamber members\, sharing community updates\, and enjoying some great connections.\n\n  Don't forget your business cards this is the perfect chance to grow your network!\n\n  Presentation Overview\n\nCherriots will share exciting updates from their Creating Community Connections Service Enhancement Plan\, a community-driven effort to expand and improve local transit.\n\nShort-term improvements include:\n\n  More frequent buses and longer service hours on weekdays\, weekends\, and holidays\n\n  Faster trips using traffic signal priority\n\n  Safer\, more accessible bus stops\n\nThese changes could increase service by 186% on Sundays\, 82% on Saturdays\, and 24% on weekdays.\n\nLooking ahead\, Cherriots will highlight long-term plans:\n\n  A new East Salem Transit Center\n\n  Flexible\, on-demand microtransit\n\n  Bike and scooter share options for first- and last-mile connections\n\n  Special event service and a frequent-stop downtown Salem circulator\n\n  A unified payment system across all travel modes\n\n  A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system for Salem and Keizer\n\n  A centralized Cherriots operations campus\n\nThese investments are designed to connect people to work\, school\, healthcare\, and community life helping build a stronger\, more connected region.\n\n\n\nTransportation to meeting\n\n \n\nTransit: \n\nKeizer Transit Center also serves as a park and ride\, where folks can park and take transit to the Down Transit Center\, which is where the meeting will be at.
