Café Yumm! Restaurant Coming Soon to Keizer Station
The new 36-seat location will feature a drive-through and catering.
Keizer, OR – Café Yumm! will open a new restaurant in the Keizer Station shopping center on April 23, 2018. This is the second location in the Salem area for the Oregon-based fast casual concept. The menu features Yumm! Bowls® made famous by the brand’s signature Yumm! Sauce®, soups, salads, wraps, and sandwiches prepared fresh with organic and locally sourced ingredients.
With a casual atmosphere and friendly service, the new restaurant will offer a 36-seat dining room and drive-through window that is anticipated to be popular with shopping center visitors and travelers along I-5. Providing this service was important to multi-unit franchisee Sean Zorn. “Our menu is not designed for drive-through because we make everything to order. However, our guests appreciate the convenience. Streamlining our operations to make this happen was a fun challenge to meet,” says Zorn. In addition to the drive-through, the location plans to have a full catering menu available on opening day with Yumm! Casseroles, fresh green salads, organic tofu and tempeh, and all natural teriyaki chicken.
Born and raised in Oregon, Sean and Anna Zorn are the franchisees of both Salem-area Café Yumm! locations. The husband and wife team, who met while working for the Forest Service, are thankful for the opportunity to be restaurant owner-operators in the community of Salem, where they are close to friends and family. “Setting our roots down in Salem was a wonderful decision personally and professionally. It has a small-town feel with caring, supportive people who are civic-minded. It’s also business-friendly and has great neighborhoods for raising a family,” says Zorn. The new restaurant’s opening comes just months after the birth of Sean and Anna’s third son.
Mark Beauchamp, President and Co-founder of Café Yumm!, is looking forward to the new franchise unit at Keizer Station. “When we opened our first restaurant in 1997, the hope was to someday bring Café Yumm! to other cities in Oregon and beyond. It was part of our desire to introduce new guests and communities to sustainable, healthy options that are delicious and unexpected.” Franchising began in 2007, and this will be the 22nd Café Yumm! restaurant to open.
The new Café Yumm! restaurant at Keizer Station will begin serving dine-in and take-out guests, as well as accepting catering orders, on Monday, April 23. A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Keizer Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for May 8, 2018.
