Capitol Auto Group Honored with United Way Employee Giving Award

Salem, OR (Dec. 4, 2019) - Capitol Auto Group gathered a special mix of generous employees together Nov. 12 at Illahe Country Club to celebrate Leadership Givers, employees who donated $1,000 or more to Capitol’s annual United Way Campaign.

Marketing Director Carrie Casebeer announced that Capitol Auto Group is the #1 Ranked Company in the Mid-Willamette Valley for Employee Giving – receiving the 2019 Employee Giving Award. She added that, overall, the campaign ranked second in our region, compared to much larger companies with many more employees.

President Scott Casebeer congratulated the staff for their contributions and for participating in this important part of Capitol’s culture.

“Be thankful for what you have,” he said. “There are a lot of people who would like to have what we do. You are a great group of family -- not employees, family. You have gone above and beyond; I can’t tell you how proud I am of you.”
The company’s top leadership givers were Arthur Lyter, Raschell Robinson, Nate Micklin, Ryan Rodriguez, Mike Anderson and Jeff Shutt.

Capitol Auto Group has an extremely successful fundraising history.

• In 2017, they raised $152,000 with $130,000 coming from employee pledges and the Leadership Givers consisted of 51 people.

• In 2018, they raised $175,000 with $150,000 coming from employee pledges and had 75 Leadership Givers.

• In 2019, they raised a record-breaking $200,000. Over $180,000 was in employee pledges with 91 Leadership Givers. The Leadership Givers were responsible for 75% of all pledges to the 2019 UW Campaign.

This year, Capitol Auto Group was recognized by Automotive News as one of the Best Companies to Work For. The magazine gave the dealership $2,500 to present to a charity of their choice. Capitol chose Polk County Family and Community Outreach.
Brent DeMoe, director of the Polk County Family & Community Outreach was on hand to accept the donation. He spoke about how his work has been impacted by Capitol Auto Group’s commitment to the community.
