In response to COVID-19, The Salvation Army Kroc Center has increased community assistance and support. The Kroc Center is in regular communication with local authorities regarding COVID-19 protocols and working closely with local organizations to coordinate services.

The Kroc Center officially suspended regular operations on March 17, 2020. Membership payments for the month of April will be suspended and will continue if necessary. “These are challenging and uncertain times for us all. Be assured The Salvation Army in Marion and Polk Counties is working hard to meet the physical needs of our communities by providing food to the hungry and sharing hope in the place of fear,” said Lieutenant Quinton Markham, The Salvation Army Marion & Polk Counties Coordinator.

Right now, the Kroc Center is organizing to support the increasing demand for childcare for our first responders. In collaboration with local partners, the Kroc Center will transition to a Day Care operation for front line-workers with children ages 4 to 12.

“The Kroc Center stands ready to do its part in support of our dedicated front-line workers”, said Kroc Center Director, Tony Frazier.

Front line worker Day Care hours will be from 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday – Friday and begins Monday, March 30, 2020. Please contact the membership desk between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at 503.566.5762 for registration information or visit www.krocsalem.org.
