Have you ever noticed for yourself or you probably know someone that tries these various nutrition or diet plans and it is just a struggle? At first you lose weight, and then progress slows or comes to a halt because you hit a plateau and you can’t lose any more weight. Then you seek answers from whomever you’re getting the nutrition from and this is usually what happens; the calorie intake alone gets reduced and now you start losing muscle along with the fat, your metabolism slows due to insufficient calories and that makes it even harder to lose fat. Then you’re left feeling hopeless cause no one has the answers let alone the solution.
Truth… During the course of your training and exercising you will need to make appropriate adjustments to your diet as you learn what your body needs and how it reacts to certain levels of training and nutrition. As your body becomes stronger and more in shape, your metabolism is going to increase and if you are getting to much or not enough protein, carbs, fats your body will let you know. So here is an important question to ask yourself about your current nutrition program or diet you might be on. “Does my current diet take into consideration my needs as a ‘unique individual’ and does it have the ability to notice and to change my macro-nutrient make up to ‘my needs’ and not just adjust my calorie intake?”
