McNary Blue Day "Under the Lights"

The smell of fall sports will be in the air on Friday, August 23 as McNary High student-athletes will take over the campus for the school’s eighth annual Blue Day — organized by Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) officers at McNary.

Below is a tentative schedule of events -
• 4:00 p.m. - Exhibition from McNary Youth Football teams
• 5:00 p.m. – Fall Sports meeting for PARENTS of fall sports athletes - held by Scott Gragg, McNary’s Athletic Director
• 5:45 p.m. – McNary Cross Country
• 6:00 p.m. – McNary Boys’ Soccer and McNary Volleyball scrimmages
• 6:30 p.m. – McNary Girls’ Soccer scrimmages
• 7:00 p.m. – McNary Freshman football team scrimmage
• 7:30 p.m. – McNary JV football team scrimmage
• 7:55 p.m. – 2018 League Football Championship recognition
• 7:55 p.m. – Elks Club will make a presentation
• 8:00 p.m. – McNary Varsity football team scrimmage

There will be a presence from several McNary activities and clubs at the event, including Latino club, knitting club, JROTC, and dance. Several event sponsors will also be in attendance including Thrivent, Celtic Storage, Salem Electric, and State Farm – Scott Ayers.

Scenic Valley Farms will be on the BBQ with burgers and hotdogs, Kona Ice will have their snow cone truck, and the McNary Athletic Booster club will have concessions open with a limited menu, serving up chips, candy, soda, Gatorade, and water. 

McNary Athletic Booster Club will also be selling McNary spirit wear, and fall sports buttons. There will be several other activities to enjoy for the entire family, and the National Guard will be on hand. Youth, high school coaches, and McNary administrators will be sitting in a dunk tank throughout the event.
